וולפגנג הוטר הינו צייר אוסטרי נודע שהיה חבר בקבוצת הראליזם הפנטסטי הוינאי, ביחד עם ארנסט פוקס ואריק בראואר.
Wolfgang Hutter was an Austrian painter and stage designer known for his depictions of phantasmagoric scenes of paradise-like gardens and fairy tale creatures. Hutter was a founding member of the Viennese School of Fantastic Realists along with his peers Ernst Fuchs and Rudolf Hausner. Born on December 13, 1928 in Vienna, Austria, he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna while also learning from his father, the painter A.P. von Gütersloh. Hutter was awarded the UNESCO Prize at the Venice Biennale in 1954, and designed strange and beautiful sets for the 1974 production of Mozart’s The Magic Flute at the Vienna Staatsoper, the Volksoper, the Theater an der Wien, the Graz Opera, and the Theater in der Josefstadt. He died on September 26, 2014 in Vienna, Austria.
