Miniature format manuscript - women's prayers, for Tevilah, pregnancy, smooth birth and Shabbat candle lighting. [Italy, 19th Century]. Italian square script, vocalized. Original, ornamented leather binding. The manuscript was commissioned on behalf of a woman named "Virtuosa (?) daughter of Esther", whose name is integrated in the first prayer. On the leather binding, (front and back cover), gilt embossed border ornament and the woman's initials: V.P.
