A speech made in the city of Lisbon by the above Archbishop, before Jews
condemned to burn on the stake on the 6th of September, 1705. Translated into
English. With a response to his words by Rabbi David Nieto (1654-1728), the
sage of the Spanish-Portuguese Community in London from 1701. An important, polemic work.
Condition: cover worn, rubbed and chipped to corners and near spine
Spine is missing. Covers almost detached
Some soiling to endpaper. Binding started getting loose.
Front endpapers, Introduction with title page and Appendix detached.

Gray stains near spine to first and last pages
