Letter from the first Admor of the Sadigura Dynasty, Rabbi Avraham Yaakov Friedman, to his Brother-in-law Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Vizhnitz, Author of Tzemach Tzaddik

"HASHEM SHOULD STRENGTHEN HIM , ENCOURAGE HIM, LENGTHEN HIS DAYS AND YEARS WITH GOOD AND PLEASANTNESS"

Letter with a handwritten signature from Rabbi Avraham Yaakov of Sadigura, sent to Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Vizhnitz on October 10, 1866.

In the letter the Admor of Sadigura inquires after the welfare of his sister and blesses her that " the good G-d will uplift and gladden her heart with salvations and comfort, like her heart desires."

Rabbi Menachem Mendel Hager of Vizhnitz (1830 - 1884) was from the leading admorim in his generation. He was the son of Rabbi Chaim of Kosov and author of Tzemach Tzaddik. He married Miriam, the daughter of Rabbi Yisrael of Ruzhin.

Rabbi Avraham Yaakov Friedman of Sadigura (1820 - 1883) was the son and main successor of Rabbi Yisrael of Ruzhin, and son-in-law of Rabbi Aharon of Karlin, author of Beis Aharon. He was among the leaders of Klal Yisrael in his generation with followers numbering in the thousands. He is the patriarch of the current day Sadigura and Boyan dynasties.
