Shay Shel Sifrut, twenty issues, a literary supplement granted to readers of the weekly "Hadashot Me'HaAretz" [Palestine News], edited by S. [Simcha] Ben Zion. H. Weisel press, Cairo, 1918-1919.
A bound volume compiling the twenty issues of the literary anthology "Shay Shel Safrut", supplement to the paper "Hadashot Me'HaAretz" (a number of issues are double or triple). Among the contributors: Mordechai Temkin, Ya'akov Kopilevitch, Ya'akov Steinberg, Yehuda Burla, and others.
"Hadashot MeHa’aretz", the Hebrew edition of the regional British Army newspaper "The Palestine News", was the first Hebrew newspaper published in Palestine after the British occupation. The newspaper which editorially maintained a mild Zionist attitude was published weekly between April 1918 and April 1919. In June 1919, the first issue of the paper "Hasashot Ha'aretz", the civilian offshoot of "Hadashot Me'HaAretz", was published in Jerusalem. In December 1919 the word "Hadashot" was omitted and the title became "Ha'aretz", which continues to be published to this day.
