FIRST JERUSALEM EDITION thus of the “Palestine Hagadah” with
original text decorations and b&w illustrations by Israeli artist Arieh
El-Hanani, who sought to create Haggadah illustrations based on life in
Palestine. His illustrations feature characters dressed in traditional
Jewish-Yemeni garb. The Haggadah includes English translation parallel to the
Hebrew original, and four pages of notes to the Passover hymns.
