A special letter handwritten and signed by the leading Posek of the USA Rabbi Moshe Feinstein. In the letter, Rabbi Feinsteins calls for an important gathering subsequent to the Yom Kippur War which "broke out on our brothers in the Land of Israel … and many of them were killed".
Written on Rabbi Feinstein's official stationery.

In the letter he writes: "And I have agreed to a day of fast and day of prayer" and describes the prayers and fast in the USA due to the situation in Israel.
He adds: "May God revenge the evil people who wanted to destroy us…"
He also announces that "everyone in accordance with his ability must contribute for a special assistance fund for the land of Israel … so that we may help those who suffered and became poor due to the war…"
