The author (1510-1584?) Rabbi of the Lisbon Jewish congregation in Salonika, was a disciple of R. Joseph Taitatzak and a colleague of R. Samuel de Medina (the MaHaRaSHDa”M). In this important collection of responsa Adarbi often takes exception to the latter’s rulings. See EJ, Vol. II col. 254.
