Mordechai Limom (1924-2009) was the fourth commander of the Israeli Navy (1950 -1954)
In 1962, Limon became the head of the Defense Ministry's office in Paris. In the 1960s, he directed the procurement of military equipment in Europe. (1967-1968) Limon oversaw the Cherbourg Project that involved smuggling five missile boats that had originally been purchased by Israel and embargoed by France. He would be subsequently expelled from France.
