Halachic responsum handwritten by Rabbi Yeshaya Zilberstein to Rabbi Zussman, a scribe and Dayan in the city pf Pest.
A leaf handwritten on both its sides and signed by Rabbi Zilberstein.
Rabbi Yeshaya Zilberstein (1857-1930) was one of the leading rabbis of Hungary before the Holocaust, author of the well-known book 'Ma'asay La'Melech' on Maimonides. In 1884, when he was only 27, he started serving as a rabbi and Av Beit Din in Weitzen (Vác).
He had hundreds of students, among them leading rabbis such as the Rebbe Rabbi Aharon Roth, author of "Shomer Emunim".
In the preface to his book "Ma'asay La'Melech" section b, his sons tell of him that he always woke up at midnight and on Tuesdays and Fridays he never slept at all. He used to write his novellae while being wrapped in his prayer shawl and wearing his Tefillin.
Condition: Good. Folding marks. Has been professionally restored.
