Rambam's Mishneh Torah. Venice, Bragadin Press, 1550

The Rambam's Mishneh Torah, with Hasagot HaRaava"d, Migdal Oz and Hagahot Maimoniyot, proofread by Rabbi Meir of Padua and his son. Sefer Kinyan, Mishpatim Shoftim and Sefer HaMitzvot. Venice, Bragadin press, 1550.

This edition was at the center of a dispute between two presses, Bragadin and Giustiniani, who printed the Rambam's works at the same place and time. The halachic controversy was even brought before the Rem"a.

The conflict between the two Christian printers eventually led to a decree for the book's burning in Italy in 1553.

On leaf 767, page 2, Bragadin's "apology letter" was printed about the modified controversial print.
