Jewish Card Game of Biblical Verses - Complete. Germany, 1920
Card game - Jewish 'foursomes,' on the topic of biblical verses, published by R. Bamberger - original package and game instructions, all complete. Frankfurt am Main, 1920. The instructions and cards are in Hebrew and German. Rare.
From the game instructions: 'The game has forty-eight cards. Four by four, connected to one quartet ... one of the players, sitting to the dealer's left, asks another for a specific card he needs to complete a quartet. And if the specified card is in the hands of the one from who it was requested, he gives it to the one who asked for it. He may continue to ask for other cards from anyone he desires until he reaches someone who doesn't have the requested card ... and this repeats until all the cards fit into quartets. Whoever has the largest number of quartets wins.'
Size: 6.5x11 cm. All the cards are in very fine condition [with no signs of use whatsoever], slight tears in the cardboard box.
