Yartzheit Candle. Silver, Hungary, Late 19th-Early 20th Century
Oil lamp for the soul of a deceased. Hallmarked silver.
Engraved on the bowl: נר לזכרון נשמה [memorial candle]. At center of the plate there is a base which supports the oil lamp. The lamp has two openings, one to insert oil - with a plug, and the other at the edge of the lamp with a cover that is attached to a chain for inserting the wick.
Description: Height: 11 cm. Plate diameter: 10 cm.
Condition: Very fine.
