brown stains to many pages, some small damages. Giovanni Pietro Pinamonti SJ (1632 - 1703 in Orta San Giulio) was an Italian Catholic priest and writer of ascetic writings. G.P.Pinamonti entered the Society of Jesus in 1647. As a popular missionary in central and northern Italy, he was for 26 years companion of Paolo Segneri SJ, whom he literarily supported. Together with John Eudes and Joseph de Gallifet he is considered the most important patron of the veneration of the Heart of Mary in his time.
