Collection of photographs by the sisters Charlotte and Gerda Meyer – landscapes, portraits of well-known persons, photographs from an Independence Day parade, and more. Most photographs were taken in Haifa, [1930s to 1950s].
About 80 photographs. Some are stamped with different ink-stamps of the Meyer sisters, some are signed in pencil and some are not signed. Among them:
• A photograph of Alfred Mond (Lord Melchett) in Haifa. Ink-stamped on verso: "Photographic Studio Charlotte Meyer Haifa".
• Two photographs of the British High Commissioner Arthur Wauchope. Presumably these photographs were taken during the corner-stone ceremony of British Sailors' Society in Haifa. Ink-stamped: "Photographic Studio Charlotte Meyer Haifa".
• Photograph of the Swedish diplomat Folke Bernadotte with his assistant Ralph Bunche at the entrance to Zion Hotel in Haifa.
• 59 photographs from Independence Day parade in Haifa, 1953. The photographs are mounted on five album leaves. On the first leaf appears a label of the Meyer Sisters studio in Haifa, and on the last leaf appears the studio ink-stamp.
• Portrait photographs of David Ben-Gurion, Arnold Zweig, Bronislav Huberman, Arturo Toscanini, Charlotte Meyer and others (most are not signed).
• Seven landscape photographs of Haifa and the port. Six are mounted on thick paper cards or on greeting cards (with printed greetings in English, for Christmas and the New Year). Most photographs are signed in pencil on the cards.

The sisters Charlotte and Gerda Meyer, photographers from Haifa, born in Germany, were active during the years 1934-1957. They specialized in Portrait photography and in photography of architecture and industrial buildings.
Total of approx. 80 photographs, size and condition vary.
