Unique Features: Especially rare Tanach. Complete copies are extremely uncommon. The National Library has only one complete copy, which was purchased in 2017 from the Valmadonna Trust Library.

Detailed Specifications: Torah: [136] leaves, with the blank leaf at the conclusion. Five Megillot: [18] leaves. Early Prophets: [116] leaves. Later Prophets: [117] leaves. Psalms [34] leaves, with the blank leaf. Proverbs [12] leaves. Job: [14] leaves, with the blank leaf. (The five Megillot were bound after the Torah section). Daniel - Chronicles: [67] leaves, with the chart of haftarahs. A detailed list of the missing leaves is available upon request.

Nice print of the Tanach. Initial word of each book within a decorative border. The colophon notes that the this holy work was completed 5278 by Daniel Bomberg of Antwerp, Barabant, in the 16th year of Doge Leonardo Loredan in Venice. The last [2] leaves feature a chart of the haftarahs for the entire year, per all customs.

This copy does not have the title page. The Mehlman collection features a copy with a foreign language title page from 1511. Bibliographers are undecided whether this title page was added at a later date. Refer to: Areshet 3, p. 94-96; Ginzei Yisrael p. 25-26 and Kiryat Sefer 58 [1988] p. 586-604.

Condition: Very fine. Minimal aging stains. Antiquated leather binding.
