A book with photographic images of capturing the everyday life of Jewish communities in Eastern Europe. Included are numerous photographs of synagogues, streets, stores, and figures, in two parts: Jewish cities and people. The photographs were taken from the Joint and YIVO collections; some were taken by photographers Alter Kacyzne and Roman Vishniak. On the cover - an illustration by Shlomo Yudovin.
575, [8] pp, 20X26.5 cm. Good condition. Some open tears at corners of leaves. Leaves are bound in irregular order. Some defects to binding. Binding, spine and endpapers are restored. Ink-stamp and traces of a book plate.
