1. "The Jewish Street in Vilnius", 65 photographs by M. Vorobeichik (Raviv), documenting the atmosphere in the Jewish ghetto through combinations of light and shade, combination of geometric shapes and low photography angles.
6, [1] pp, 64 pp (photograph-plates), 7, [1] pp, 19 cm. Good condition. Stains. Pen inscription to one of the endpapers and ownership ink-stamps. Slight damages to margins and corners of binding.
2. Das Schas Meines Grossvaters [Talmud of my grandfather], by S.Y. Agnon. Published by Soncino company (Soncino Gesellschaft der Freunde des jüdischen Buches), Berlin, 1925. German.
"Talmud of my grandfather", a short story by S.Y. Agnon in a bibliophilic edition of 550 copies. This story was first published in Hebrew, in the book "Nir David" (published by "Defuss", Frankfurt, [1923), an anthology published in honor of the 70th birthday of rabbi Dr. David Simonson, chief rabbi of Denmark and head of "Mekitz Nirdamim" society.
[26] pp, 14.5 cm. Fair condition. Leaves detached from one another. Stains. Stains, tears and damages to wrappers. Spine torn lengthwise.
