Three Invitations and a Circular Letter – Final Session of the "Assembly of Representatives" and the Opening Session of the "Constituent Assembly" – 1949
Three invitations and a circular letter sent to the public figure and first Knesset member Moshe Ben-Ami, shortly after the establishment of the State of Israel. Israel, 1949.
1. Invitation, typewritten (on exceptionally thin paper) to a session of the "Central Elections Committee to the Constituent Assembly", on 16.1.1949 in Tel-Aviv. Signed by hand by the chairman of the committee and stamped with ink-stamp of the "General Secretary".
2. Printed card – invitation to the "Final Session of the Assembly of Representatives" in the Hebrew Gymnasium hall, Rehavia, on 13.2.1949. Stamped with ink-stamp of "General Council (Vaad Leumi) of the Community of Palestine".
3. Invitation, printed on official letterhead of "Israel, the Provisional State Council" to the "Opening Session of the Constituent Assembly" in the National Institutes building on 14.2.1949. Signed by hand by Joseph Sprinzak, "Chairman, on behalf of the presidency of the Provisional State Council".
4. Circular letter, typewritten and stenciled, on behalf of "Israel, the Provisional State Council" to delegates of the "Constituent Assembly", dated 7.2.1949 (apparently this letter was enclosed with the original invitation to the assembly participants). Hand signed by A. Zidon [Asher Zidon?].
