Approbation Handwritten by the Rebbe the 'Minchat Elazer', on Behalf of His Father the Rebbe, the 'Darkei Teshuvah' of Munkatch Who Signed the Letter– a Special Item
An approbation letter by the Rebbe Rabbi Zvi Hirsch Shapira of Munkatch author of 'Darkei Teshuvah', with his signature. The letter was handwritten on his behalf by his son the Rebbe author of 'Minchat Elazar'. Munkatch [1913]. Special item! The letter is written on the official stationery of the Rebbe, Rabbi Zvi Hirsch Shapira.
The approbation is for the book "Ateret Eliyahu" by Rabbi Eliyahu Frankel, Av Beit Din of Levelek and for his son Rabbi Yitzchak Frankel, who added comments to the book titled "Va'Ye'etar Yitzchak". The approbation was printed at the head of approbations to this book which was printed by the author's son in 1913 in Jerusalem.

Rabbi Zvi Hirsh Shapira, author of Darkei Teshuva (1855-1914) was the grandson of Rabbi Zvi Elimelech of Dynów, author of Bnei Yissaschar. A leading Torah scholar and Hassid, he succeeded his father as rabbi of Munkatch. He established the Munkatch Hassidism and had thousands of followers. Founder of Kollel Munkatch and Nessi Eretz Israel. Authored the books: Darkei Teshuva, Be'er Lachai Ro'i, Zvi Tiferet, and more.
His son, Rabbi Chaim Elazar Shapira, (1872-1937) was a Torah, Halacha and Hassidism genius and was a prominent Kabbalist whose teachings in Halacha and kabbalah were accepted by Jewish communities. Among his books: the Minchat Elazar Responsa and more.
