Collection of Air Force Combat Battle Journals from the Yom Kippur War

Fifteen issues of the Air Force's journal from the period of the Yom Kippur War. From October 12 to October 26, 1973. Issues 6,7,9-20. Regular reports of the defeat of the Arab armies, rare photographs from the battlefield, hasty field interviews with senior Air Force commanders in the midst of battle.

'Battle Leaf' no. 18 from 24/10/1973 is attached: Restricted - internal, comment at the top of the leaf: 'Soldier, take note! When you are finished, you are ordered to shred this sheet!' This sheet briefly covers the activities of the phantom planes in the war: 'All winged squadrons, without exception, operated yesterday in two battlefields with great success ... all our airplanes returned to base with a list of fallen enemy airplanes, with mushroom clouds of smoke from those same strategic targets we attacked serving as a unique picturesque backdrop.' 'The Daily Verse,' an interesting addition in the margins of the leaf, appears with the verses, 'יבושו ויחפרו כל מבקשי נפשי, יסוגו אחור ויכלמו חפצי רעתי' [May they be put to shame and disgrace, all who seek my soul, may they retreat and be humiliated, those who desire bad for me, etc.'
