Sacred Torah thoughts of the Torah giant, Rabbi Yeshaya Halevi Horowitz printed along with a long introduction by his son, Rabbi Sheftel Halevi Horowitz.

The introduction has its own title page and is titled "Vavay Ha'amudim."

This rare first edition was printed in Amsterdam 1648 – 1649.

Rabbi Yeshaya Halevi Horowitz (1558 - 1628), also known as the Shlah Hakadosh, was world renown for his holiness. His sefarim are used by the entire Jewish world as a foundation for mussar and character development. Rabbi Yehonasan Eibeshitz said regarding the Shla that it is incumbent upon each Jew to learn pages of this work every morning and evening.
