Rabbi Elchonon Wasserman (1875 - 1941) was the Rosh Yeshivah in Baranovitch and a noted Torah scholar in pre-World War II Europe. He was a close student of the Chafetz Chaim and an active member of the Agudath Israel. His teachings are considered fundamentals in the Torah world today. This letter was written in 1941, just a few months before he was murdered.
