Two letters in the handwriting and with the signature of Rabbi Moshe Chaskin. 

* A letter from 1939 sent to the governor Rabbi Michel Harris - the letter is replete with words of admiration and deep friendship between the pair. Rabbi Chaskin describes him: 'His honor is one of the rare individuals who is a Torah scholar and God-fearing person from the previous generation'. The letter deals with his book 'Kalkalat Shevi'it' and their future plans. [1] letterhead. 20x27 cm. Fold marks, fine condition.

* A letter on an official business card of Rabbi Chaskin 'Rabbi of the congregation of Pryluky, author of the book 'Kalkalat Shevi'it' - sent to Rabbi Michel Harris in which Rabbi Chaskin thanks him for payment for his book 'Kalkalat Shevi'it' and 'May the verse be fulfilled on you 'It is a tree of life for those who uphold it and its supporters are joyful'. Rabbi Moshe Chaskin [1872-1940, Otzar Harabbanim 14708], one of the close disciples of Rabbi Yitzchak Elchanan Spektor and the Chafetz Chaim. Served as Rabbi of Krekenava for 15 years, where he headed a preparatory yeshiva for the Slabodka yeshiva. During the war years he moved to serve as Rabbi of Pryluky. He immigrated to Israel in 1933 and was one of the prominent Rabbis of Jerusalem.
