An Important Letter From Rabbi Reuven Katz - Rabbi of Petach Tikva

A letter with the signature of Rabbi Reuven Katz - Rabbi of Petach Tikva, dated Sivan 5731 [1941]. Addressed to the Rishon L'Zion Rabbi Ben Zion Meir Chai Uziel about the sensitive negotiations which were behind the founding of the Lomza yeshiva he headed in the city of Petach Tikva.

In the letter the Rabbi asks to be informed whether Rabbi Uziel spoke to Rabbi Fishman about the yeshiva: "As his honor is the honorary president and is aware of its physical and spiritual condition, and there is great resentment about this from the residents of the city who are concerned about the yeshiva, and it could lead to a dispute, and I am a calm person, I do not want any fault to arise especially when those complaining are justified..."
