Personal Invitation to Rabbi Chaim Greineman's Wedding in his Handwriting
Postcard written and signed by HaGaon Rabbi Chaim Greineman, in which he invites Rav Shmuel Shedrowitzky to his wedding, dated 12th of Elul, 5704 [1944].
He writes, "I would be honored to invite his honor to participate in the joy of my wedding ceremony, which will take place on Wednesday, the 18th of Elul, in Jerusalem, at the Raaved Hotel, at Five in the afternoon. I sign in hopes that [the Rabbi] would accept the request of his cherished and respected friend, Chaim Greineman." On the opposite side is another signature of Rabbi Chaim Greineman.
HaGaon Rabbi Chaim Shaul Greineman [1926-2015], was the nephew of Maran the Chazon Ish, among the heads of "Chazon Ish" faction, and author of the series Chiddushim U'Viurim on the Talmud.
