Fundamental work of Alexander chassidut - Yismach Yisrael on VaYikra - Dvarim by the Admor Rabbi Yerachmiel Yisrael Yitzchak of Alexander, New York 1974. Interesting dedication on the flyleaf with the signature of the Admor of Alexander Rabbi Avraham Menachem Danziger.
Personal dedication written by the Admor to Rabbi Elchanan Halperin in which he writes: 'In recognition and friendship, I hereby send him this holy book by my pure and holy uncle, light of the exile, ztzuk"l, and his signature.
The Admor Rabbi Avraham Menachem Danziger [1921-2005], the previous Admor of the Alexander chassidut, studied with Rabbi Ben Tzion Bruk in the Beit Yosef Novorodok yeshiva in Jerusalem, where he also heard lessons from Rabbi Shach, while Rabbi Shach served as a lecturer in the yeshiva. After his wedding, the Admor studied in the kollel near Yeshivat Tchebin headed by Rabbi Dov Berish Weidenfeld, the gaon of Tchebin. He was appointed Admor after his father's passing in 1973. The chassidut expanded during his time, and new study halls of the chassidut were established in the United States and Europe.
