List of 160 synagogues in the city of Vilna, with pictures of the inside of 'The Magnificent City Synagogue.' 20th century, lithographic printing.
Among the synagogues is an interesting list of 13 chassidic prayer gatherings which took place in Vilna where Chassidut was opposed - under their own special title. In addition, there is a list of synagogues in the central complex of the "Shul Hoif" [among them the Vilna Gaon's kloiz], synagogues of the charity and kindness societies, of workmen.
Written in Yiddish, with titles in Hebrew, English and Russian as well.
