An illustrated humorist poster of the Herut movement (founded by the Irgun Zvai Leumi) for the First Knesset. Size: 46x 31 c”m
The poster was printed for the first elections in 1949. Ben-Gurion appears in it holding a large key. Above it is written "The key to career", through which a man crawls. behind him, a line of people waiting for their turn.
The illustration relates to the distribution of jobs and money to political associates that was practiced at the time, both in the Knesset and in other public positions.
