A poster from the 1940s or early 1950s, showing Ben-Gurion and Yehuda Leib (Fishman) Maimon (Minister of Religion in the First and Second Knessets) sitting together. Ben-Gurion (described in a fat caricature cartoon) asks Maimon: "Is it because of a pig that we will destroy the coalition?"
The sting in this poster was directed precisely at the voters of Maimon's party, the National Religious Party, for his willingness to forgive his most important ideological differences, such as the prohibition of eating pork, for sitting in the coalition and enjoying the pleasures of government.
