Letter Handwritten and Signed by the Rebbetzen Nechama Dinah Schneersohn, the Wife of the Rebbe Rayatz - New York, 1953
Handwritten, signed letter on official stationery. Addressed to "My honorable friend … Chaim". Greetings for the New Year and Ketivah Ve'Chatima Tova, partially in Yiddish.
The Rebbetzen Nechama Denah Schneersohn (1882-1971), the granddaughter of the 'Tzemach Tzedek' married in 1897 her relative, the Rebbe Rayatz. She devotedly stood beside him until his death in 1950 and took part in his public activities. She was especially active during his arrest by the Soviets. Her house was open to the poor and she used to conduct Farbrengens (Hitva'adut) for women.
Approximately 10 lines in her handwriting.
Condition: Good. Folding marks and two small tears. Time stain.
