Shulchan Aruch Yoreh Deah with Pitchei Teshuva and Nachalat Zvi. Vilnius 1876.
The copy first belonged to the Rebbe Rabbi Yehuda Zvi of Rozdół, the son of the Rebbe Rabbi Shlomo of Rozdół (1820-1881) and the son-in-law of Rabbi Eliezer Zvi of Komarno . he was born in 1849 and died 1886.
After Rabbi Yehuda Zvi's death, the book passed on to his sons, who served as Rebbes after him: Rabbi Pinchas Chaim of Rozdół author of 'Ohel Mo'ed' and Rabbi Moshe of Kallov author of 'Et Ratzon'.
Rabbi Moshe of Kallov was born in Rozdół and later moved to Komarno, where he studied with his grandfather Rabbi Eliezer Zvi of Komarno Torah and hassidism. After his marriage, his grandfather ordered him to move to Kallov to serve there as a Rebbe. He died in 1936.
Then the book was passed on to Rabbi Moshe Eichenstein, the Rebbe of Ziditchov in Veretski and Munkatch, author of the book 'Zichron Moshe', who wrote with a pencil dozens of comments on the book.
Several comments are in earlier script and written with ink. They might be in the handwriting of Rabbi Pinchas Chaim.
Rabbi Moshe was well-known as a holy and pious man besides being most knowledgeable in the Torah. He was also a renowned wonder-worker. Most of his books with his glosses were lost during World War II.
Enclosed is a signed confirmation by Rabbi Yitzchak Yesha'aya Weiss.
