[CARLOS III]: (1716-1788) King of Spain 1759-88, and King of Naples and Sicily 1735-59. A defender of Enlightened Absolutism. L.S., `Yo el Rey &´, three pages, folio, San Lorenzo del Escorial, 11th November 1764, to Francisco Azcue, in Spanish. The document being an appointment given by the King to Francisco Azcue as Mayor of the city of Segovia. The document bears an ink stamp at the heading showing ''Carolus III - Hispania Rex'' Bearing to the second page several countersignatures beneath the King´s stamped signature, including the King´s secretary Don Andrés de Otamendi. Very small holes to the centre fold. Small tear to the right edge, otherwise G £100-150
