VIGNES FRANÇOIS FELIX: (1769-1799) French General. Killed at the Legnago battle at the very early age of 29. Very rare D.S., Vignes, one page, oblong folio, 17th March 1796, in French. The partially printed document bearing the Rhin & Moselle army printed heading, Vignes in his capacity as Chief of Brigade issues a certificate in favour of Captain Poulat, reporting on his loyal and good services given. Countersigned by the Commissair of war and several members of the Committee. Bearing an ink stamp of the infantry brigade. Small stains to the edges. Folded. G £150-200
