Two sections, on Torah, Prophets, and Writings, and the Five Megillot. By Rabbi Gershon Stern (1861-1936), student of the Chatam Sofer and the Maharam Shik, an important rabbi of Hungary, first rabbi and head of the Marosh-Ludas yeshiva for more than 50 years. A great darshan and speaker. His book Yalkut HaGershoni succeeded in being distributed widely. In the first volume are stamps of ownership of the author, and there are glosses and symbols throughout the book written by the author. On page 2 is a dedication by the author. Additional stamp of ownership of Rav Gedalya Silverstone, rabbi of Washington. Different sizes and conditions. 88; 67, [2] pages. Generally very good condition.
