V'Hayu Einecha Ro'ot Et Morecha - A Succah Decoration - An Interesting Publication of the Gad Party. 1950's

A Succah decoration with pictures of great Rabbis published by the 'Gad' party - Religious Torah Front, Agudat Yisrael, Poalei Agudat Yisrael and Religious people unaffiliated with any political party. 

An interesting combination of pictures of great Rabbis from the past and the present. At the top are pictures of the Ba'al Shem Tov, the Vilna Gaon and the Chatam Sofer. On the top left side is a picture of Maimonides based on what appears in the books. In the center are pictures of Rebbes, the Chafetz Chaimm, Rabbi Meir Shapiro of Lublin, Rabbi Yosef Chaim Sonnenfeld and others. On the left side is a printed prayer said when entering into the Succah, with the Seder Ushpizin beneath it. In the background is a picture of shchach branches, stalks of wheat and figs. 

The Religious Torah Front - A historical ultra-orthodox party which combined factions from different extremes and whose symbol was 'Gad [גד]'. It was comprised of Agudat Yisrael, Poalei Agudat Yisrael and religious people unaffiliated with any political party in the elections for the third [1955], fourth and eighth Knesset. In the third Knesset the party changed its name to "Agudat Yisrael - Poalei Agudat Yisrael".
