Dem gedenken unseres fruehvollendeten sohnes Gerhard Cohn : dem jungen idealeu kaempfer fuer recht, freiheit und erloesung des Juedischen volkes. Zu seinem 20. geburtstage am 4. Juni 1941 - Santiago : Cohn Family, 1941. [2] pp., 16 pp. Soft cover. Stencil printing. German. Portrait. This booklet is a part of personal diary and letters which were written by Gerhard Cohn, and was published by his parents a year after his death. He was a member and guide of the "Ha-Shomer ha-Tsa'ir" youth movement in Berlin. In early 1939, he was emigrated with his parents to Chile. Shortly after his arrival in Santiago, he and a handful of friends of same origin have established the "Kidma" youth movement. A year later he died of a severe malignant disease, and he was only 19. Before the emigration he studied Hebrew by himself. The diary and the letters tell us about the beginning of "kidma" mvement in Chile. He was the one who have started a glorious movement. Attached letter by his parents, stencil printing. No in the National Library of Israel. 27.5 cm., yellowing leaves, some aging stains, missing spine, small tears at cover edges, some letters sightly erase. Fair Condition. Very Rare.
