In the approbation of the Gaon of Lvov Rabbi Yosef Shaul Nathanson for Sefer Beis Meir (Lvov, 1861) he writes with much appreciation that this Sefer "lives up to its name since it is enlightening ... delving into the depths of the Shas ... and I can almost say that it is unequalled among the entire commentators of the Shulchan Aruch...".
