Dollar Bill Received from the Lubavitcher Rebbe – Hitvaadut of 12th Tammuz 1983, "May it Be a Year of Redemption of Mashiach"
Dollar bill received from Rebbe Menachem Mendel Schneersohn, the Lubavitcher Rebbe.
Bill inscribed (in pen): "I received this dollar from the Rebbe at the Hitvaadut of 12th Tammuz, may it be a year of redemption of Mashiach [=chronogram alluding to the year 5743 – 1983]".
On 12th Tammuz 1983, at the end of the Hitvaadut on the occasion of Chag HaGeulah of Rebbe Rayatz, commemorating his liberation from Soviet imprisonment, the Lubavitcher rebbe handed out a dollar to each of the participants. The present dollar was received from the rebbe on this occasion.
Good condition. Folding marks and minor creases.
