Costume throughout the ages covering dress, jewelry, ornament, coiffure etc. Vol. 1: 468 pp., frontispiece illustrated with 2 color plates; vol. 2: 500 pp., frontispiece has 4 color plates. Beautifully illustrated with 3000 illustrations including wonderful b/w photos, detailed sketches and 8 color plates. Pages clean, good condition. Both volumes blue cloth, silver title on spine. Head/tail of spines, edges and corners all lightly worn. Both books solid. and within original black slip case illustrated on both boards with color plates and yellow/white titles. Slipcase worn at top/bottom and all edges with some rubbing and chipping to ills., but very solid. Books VG, slipcase GOOD
