ADMAT KODESH WITH A MAP OF THE LAND OF ISRAEL – JERUSALEM, 1913. FIRST EDITION.
The book 'Admat Kodesh' about the Land of Israel and its borders, by Rabbi Yitzchak Goldhar, one of the first settlers of Rosh Pina in the Galilee. Jerusalem 1913.
A professional, fascinating book that received enthusiastic approbations filled with love of the Land by great Torah scholars of the time: the Ridbaz, Rabbi Yitzchak Yerucham Diskin and Rabbi Avraham Yitzchak HaCohen Kook. The three of them praised the fact that a pious Jew deals in a holy manner with the borders of the Land of Israel.
At the end of the book is a colorful, folded map of Israel.
Rabbi Yitzchak Goldhar (1847-1925) worked as a surveyor in the service of Baron Rothschild and as a Land of Israel researcher for PICA. He was known as a man of charity, an expert doctor, and very knowledgeable in botany. Wondrous stories were told of his deeds.
Excellent condition.
This first edition of the book, with a map, is rare.
