AN INTERESTING LETTER FROM THE FIRST DAYS OF TEL-AVIV, SIGNED BY MEIR DIZENGOFF

A handwritten letter from the committee of 'Tel-Aviv' in Jaffa, on official stationary of 'Tel-Aviv' Jaffa. During those days, Tel-Aviv was only an abstract concept, whose address was in Jaffa… Thus, at the margins of the page it was written: ADRESSE 'TEL ABIB' JAFFA.
The letter deals with transfer of ownership of one of the plots of land on an area of "a thousand square cubits". The letter describes Tel-Aviv as a neighborhood of Jaffa. The date is 22.8.1910, about a year after the lottery of the plots of this neighborhood, Achuzat Bayit – Tel Aviv.
At the margins of the letter, s stamp of the 'Tel Aviv' Jaffa committee appears and the signature of Meir Dizengoff.
