A vintage signed trompe l'oeil composition, lithograph by Elena and Michael Gran, Russian, French 20th century. Signed in pencil and dated lower right. Framed. Russian born Elena and Michel Gran are the most eminent practitioners of trompe l'oeil painting at work today, celebrated for their astounding technical skills, and the sleight of hand with which they marshal their deliberately deceptive compositions. Their Trompe l'oeil paintings of playing cards have been purchased by the Louvre.
