Important Manuscript from the Gaon Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Bamberger, Av Beit Din of Zenheim. Not Printed

Large manuscript volume, hundreds of pages. Entirely handwritten and signed by the gaon and tzaddik Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Bamberger, son of the Würzburger Rav. This manuscript is comprised of his Torah novellae (some of which were later printed in his book, and some of which were never printed). There is also responsa correspondence between him and his father, the "Würzburger Rav." - Niederhagenthal-Zenheim, 1880s.

This manuscript bears copies of responsa correspondence between him and his great father, Rabbi Yitzchak Dov Bamberger, av beit din of Würzburg (some, apparently, have not been printed), and with his brothers, the rabbis and geonim; Torah novellae on many and varied topics in halachah and aggadah; large indices for notebooks in which his father's responsa were copied; quotations and sources for the preparation of the writer's great books, and more.

At the beginning of the volume, on the leaf affixed to the front binding, is the signature of Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Bamberger: "ShlomaLevi [Shlomo HaLevi] Bamberger."

Refer to the Hebrew catalog text for a brief biography of Rabbi Shlomo Bamberger.

[24], 93; 117-137; 25 leaf. 32 cm.

Moderate-fine condition. The binding and some of the leaves are detached.
