Huge collection. Family archive of the gaon Rabbi Yitzchak Dov Bamberger, av beit din of Würzburg - the "Würzburger Rav." This collection contains Torah letters, writings and complete ledgers from Germany, 1857-1930.


In the collection, there are dozens of items including Torah correspondences and Torah lists from the archive of Rabbi Yitzchak Dov Bamberger's family, including (verified with certainty): Two halachic letters sent to Rabbi Yitzchak Dov Bamberger (one of which has two letters signed by his son-in-law Rabbi Zeligman Frum); sermons for ritual circumcisions and weddings handwritten by his son, Rabbi Moshe Aryeh Bamberger, av beit din of Kissingen (including a sermon for a ritual circumcision for his firstborn son Simchah, who passed away as a baby, in whose memory the book Netiah shel Simchah was printed); letters with halachic inquiries sent to Rabbi Moshe Aryeh, with supplements in the margins from decades later, handwritten by his son-in-law and nephew, Rabbi Yitzchak Zekkel, av beit din of Kissingen, publisher of the responsa Netiah shel Simchah.


The collection also contains: Five complete ledgers, in various sizes, that contain novellae on various topics and indices for the ledgers of Torah novellae (not included here): Dozens of leaves of Torah novellae and various halachic topics from the Würzburger Rav's sons, with much stated as heard from their father ["אאמו"ר נ"י"]. The collection also contains a large leaf with a transcription of the first section of the commentary "Yad Ephraim" on Shulchan Aruch Orach Chaim by the gaon Rabbi Ephraim Zalman Margaliot.
