Rare c. 1908-1917 and historically important Imperial Russian 56 Gold (14K) tsarists FABERGE Enamel Guilloche 56 Gold Pencil Holder Pendant by Fabergé.
A two-tone gold mounted silver guilloché enamel pencil holder with the workmaster mark of [A.A.] Andrei Adler, St. Petersburg, 1908-1917. Maker's mark A.A (Andrei Karlowitsch Adler, renowned Faberge work-master.
Oblong of oval section, enameled in translucent pale lime green over a wavy engine turned guilloché, with laurel-chased border, marked on suspension loop and gold mount, with additional scratch marks denoting the Faberge inventory number. With the original wooden pencil made by Faber. 2½ in. Fully hallmarked 56 kokoshnik standard for 14K Russian Imperial gold. Weight: 8.32 grams. Very clear, crisp, brilliant key lime green guilloche enamel. Amazing fire!
Measures approximately 67 mm in length. Width is approximately 7.0 mm. Height is approximately 5.0mm. Condition is original. A few minor scratches commensurate with age, use, and rarity as pictured. Otherwise excellent condition overall.
