* Album with 104 original black-and-white photos of Eretz Yisrael - photos of cities, sites throughout the country and people. Each photo has a caption.
Includes: Mt. of Olives, Western Wall, gates of the Old City of Jerusalem, Temple Mount, Rachel's Tomb, Torah session of the elders of Jerusalem, Cave of Machpelah, photo of the German Emperor and his wife [during his visit to Palestine in 1898], temporary immigrant camp in Tel Aviv and more. It also includes various photos of Palestine Arabs in traditional dress. A number of photos in the album were later used by various publishers, who printed them as postcards.
Each photo measures 6x9 cm. Original leather binding. Very fine condition.
* Album Eretz Yisrael B'Temunot, published by M. Weissman, Jerusalem. Decorative binding in Bezalel style, copper relief of Rachel's Tomb on the front. Album contains 14 large, original black-and-white photos [24x18 cm.] from the first half of the 20th century, with printed captions: The Western Wall, Temple Mount, Tower of David, National buildings, Haifa, Safed, Tel Aviv port, Tiberias and more.
The front of the binding and spine are peeling, fine condition.
