Yitzchak Yeranen - a large commentary on tractate Avot, with the text of the tractate. Vilna, 1864. Single edition. By Rabbi Yitzchak HaCohen, one of the important darshanim of Vilna. With the approbations of Rabbi Avraham Shlomo of Amstislav, Rabbi Bezalel HaCohen of Vilna and Rabbi Meir Berlin. At the beginning of the book are two important and interesting booklets on tractate Avot: "Mesader Et HaKochavim" - in which the names of all of the sages mentioned in the tractate are listed with their time and pedigree. "Poteach Shearim" - containing explanations on the tractate and its name, and the time of its recital. In addition, at the beginning of the book is the Rambam's introduction to the order of Zeraim dealing with people whose words were only mentioned once in the Mishna, with questions. Within the commentary are explanations to Rabbi Yaakov Emden on the tractate and in the booklet "Mesader Et HaKochavim" are glosses from the author of Sefer Yuchsin and the author of Seder HaDorot. On the page margins are signed "glosses", sometimes signed "a member of the enlightenment", whose name is unknown. [4], 92-9 pages. 20 cm. Condition: Good. A small number of moth holes.
