Huge Poster with the "Menucha Nechona" Prayer which is Said at Funerals, Most Likely Meant to be Hanged at the Entrance to the Cemetery - Galanta, the 1930's - Extremely Rare!
A huge leaf on which is printed the prayer for the deceased called "Menucha Nechona" and additional verses.
This prayer appears in ancient prayer books, among them the book "Divrei Emet" (Prague, 1889. Leaf 64), there it is written that it is said beside the grave during the first year. A similar instruction appears in other prayer books that were printed in Prague. In other sources it says that the prayer was said during the funeral.
