Ashrei HaIsh, Beit Yaakov. By Rabbi Avraham Moshe Chen-Tamim. Jerusalem 1893.

A polemic with words of mussar and tochecha, by Rabbi Avraham Moshe Chen-Tamim. The blank first leaf has an “Ex Libris” (bookplate) of Rabbi Yehuda Leib HaKohen Maimon (Fishman), and the stamp of “owner Rabbi Pinchas Neustadt of Breslau”. 16 pages, [2], 35, [1] leaves. Very good condition.

Rabbi Yehuda Leib HaKohen Fishman (1876-1965) ben Rabbi Avraham Elimelech changed his name to Maimon because of a family tradition that they were descendants of the Rambam. He was the grandson of Rabbi Mordechai HaKohen os Sotnov. In 1900 he was appointed the rabbi of Markolest, and in 1905 in Ungeni (Serbia). In 1912 he moved to Jerusalem. He was a leader of the Mizrahi movement, and even served as Minister of Religious Affairs in 1948. He also wrote “Sarei HaMe’ah.”
